Giving up an addiction......

Shopping to me is like a heroin fix to a heroin addict. ok, so that might have been a little too deep, but seriously! Let me just say this "Hello my name is Cami, and I am a shopoholic". i could shop anytime at any place. I go to the grocery store to get milk, eggs, fruit, bread, chicken, and creamer, and come out with a shirt that Faylinn needs, and a cardigan that I had to have. I have decided to give up my addiction for shopping because well I'll admit it, we just dont have the money for it (shocker!). There are other reasons too, my husband and I sometimes fight over how much I shop, and how I cant go into any store without buying something. And lets face it, fighting over why we dont have any money (because i shop too much) is not worth it. I have heard that if you want to create a habit out of something all it takes is 14-21 days. So, over the next few weeks I will be writing down everything I buy for the world to see. I started by telling all my friends and family about my choice on facebook. so far it looks like everyone is supportive lol. Ahh yes support, That is what I need the most. Now I AM still human and I'm sure i'll slip and buy something every once and a while, but I am going to try my hardest not too! Dont think I'm going to give up on dressing peopke and being a personal shopper, because I'm not! I am doing this for me, to better myself. I am going to dig deep now. I really hope I overcome this shopping addiction because I dont want my children to shop like I do. Heres to new beginnings and being shop free! LoL. Follow my journey.

About Me

So, here I am...finally joining the blogging world, in hopes I can help some people out! Let me start out by introducing myself. Name is Cami, I'm 28 years old, and I am a stay at home mom to a very rambunctious and handsome 3 year old boy, and an incredibly adorable (ok so maybe I'm biased) 6 month old girl. My hobby is (you guessed it!) SHOPPING! I love shopping and may have an addiction to it (but I would never admit that ;). So, since my hobby is shopping and I am a stay at home mom I figured I would put some of my fashion sense to good use. That leads me to why I am here, typing away on my laptop while my little guy is at grandmas and my 6 month old daughter is napping. Needless to say I have very little time, but I am going to tell you as much about me, and my love for fashion in the next few minutes as I can! First of, let me just tell you that I started to get into "liking clothes" when I was about ooohhhhh 10 years old. Before that I was a HUGE tomboy. I loved playing outside and getting my clothes all dirty.....I don't dare do that now (said sarcastically as I am sitting here wearing ripped jeans and a hi low shirt with a grass stain on the butt from rolling around with my son outside this morning.) BUT I will say this, since 10 years old I have discovered my creativity in clothing. I feel like its a form of art. Some people draw, some paint, some write music, I dress people. And believe it or not I LOVE DOING IT!! When someone asks for my opinion on an outfit I am like a little kid in a candy store! I feel like God gave me a super power of dressing people. I love a challenge too. For example, my sister ALWAYS wants me to take her shopping to help pick out "a dress for a wedding" "an outfit for a concert", or even just "new clothes." So, I set out to help find her the perfect outfit(s) that is not only going to flatter her body style but also make her feel comfortable in her own skin; (because, come on ladies we all LOVE to feel sexy and comfortable right!?) Well, whenever we get to the store I pick she is always so negative, "I don't like that" "That's not me", just very difficult. Here's my reaction "I don't care, try it on!" I can guarantee you 100% of the time she comes out of that dressing room with a smile on her face, and says "I don't know how you do it." Ok, now that I'm done bragging about my super powers (haha) I can move onto the next subject. I feel like there are WAY too many people in this world who just throw on clothes because they have to. They pay no attention to the way they look, and quite frankly they just don't care. That's where I come in. I want to put my fashion advice out there, and if it helps just one person then I have been successful. Clothing is an expression of ones self. Some people just need a little more help with their expression. And I am here to help them! Ok, anyway, now you know why I am here and I can start putting my super powers to use! (Haha, I love saying super powers for some reason.) Trust me I am just kidding, I know I don't have super powers. But as you can tell I love trying to be funny, so bear with me ;) Time to go get my babbling baby out of her crib. I hope you enjoyed my very first blog, and please feel free to tell everyone you know about me and my blog! Love all you fashion stars!!

-XOXO-
Until next time
